How Money Trumpet works
Money Trumpet helps applicants understand different borrowing routes and passes an initial application to a lender or another broker that may be able to help.
From research to lender or broker contact
The process separates Money Trumpet’s information and introduction role from the checks and decisions made by the lender or broker that receives the application.
Explore your options
Read the product pages, costs, risks and available alternatives before deciding whether an application is appropriate for you.
Complete the relevant form
Use the shared consumer form or the dedicated secured, guarantor or commercial mortgage journey, depending on the borrowing route.
Your information is passed on
Money Trumpet passes the completed application to a lender or another broker suited to the applicant’s requirements. Money Trumpet does not retain the submitted application in WordPress.
The lender or broker contacts you
The lender or broker may request evidence, carry out its checks and contact you directly about its decision, offer and terms.
Who does what?
Understanding each party’s role helps avoid confusing an introduction with a lending decision.

Information to review first
Basic requirements
Applicants must be aged 18 or over and permanent UK residents. Lenders and brokers apply additional criteria of their own.
Borrow only what is appropriate
Consider the total repayable, payment dates, term, risks and whether another option could meet the need at lower cost.
Have accurate details ready
The relevant form may ask for contact, address, regular income, property, business or limited guarantor information.
Protect sensitive information
Never enter a PIN, full card security details or an online-banking password. Evidence should only be supplied later through a secure process requested by the lender or broker.
After a successful submission
The website will show an on-screen confirmation only after it has confirmed that the application was transmitted successfully. That confirmation means the information was received for onward consideration; it does not mean that the application was accepted.
The lender or broker will contact the applicant directly if it needs final checks, documents or other information. Any questions about its checks, decision or offer should be directed to that company.
